Put your WhatsApp number on a QR code
Switch the tool to A WhatsApp number and it builds a wa.me link for you. Scanning it opens a chat with your business - no saving the number first, no typing it wrong.
The part worth using is the optional first message. Whatever you put there is typed into the customer's chat ready to send, so the code on a table tent can open a chat already saying "Table for 2, please" and the one on a delivery box can say "I would like to reorder". A blank chat asks a stranger to think of an opening line, and plenty of them do not bother.
It also tells you which code did the work. Give each place its own first message - "Saw the menu card", "Scanned at the counter" - and the opening line in your inbox says where that customer came from.
Where these actually earn their keep
- On the counter or table: ordering, the menu, or a way to ask a question without queueing.
- On the packaging: reordering, a how-to-use guide, or the warranty registration.
- On a flyer or standee: the offer you are advertising, opened in one tap rather than typed from memory.
- On an invoice or receipt: support, or the renewal, so the customer does not have to hunt for your number.
- At an event: a stall code that starts a WhatsApp chat is a contact you can follow up, where a scanned business card is a photo nobody opens again.
Printing a code that actually scans
Keep it at least 2cm across for something held in the hand, and scale it up with distance - roughly a tenth of how far away it will be scanned from. Leave the white margin alone, because scanners use it to find the code at all, and keep the contrast strong: a dark code on a light background reads in bad light, a light code on a photograph often does not.
Test the printed one, not the one on your screen. Scanning a proof with two or three different phones takes a minute and is the only check that matters.

Is it really free?
Yes. No sign-up, no watermark, no limit on how many you make. The code is drawn in your browser, so it costs us nothing to give away.
Does the QR code expire?
No. The code contains your link itself, not a redirect through us, so there is nothing on our side that can expire or be switched off. A code you print today keeps working whatever happens to this page.
Do you store the link or number I enter?
No. Nothing you type leaves your browser - the code is generated on this page and the PNG is saved straight off it. There is no upload and no record of it anywhere.
What size should I download?
Screen for anything shown on a display, Print for flyers, menus and cards, Poster for banners and standees. A QR code scales without losing quality, so when in doubt pick the larger one.
How small can I print it?
As a rule of thumb keep it at least 2cm across for something held in the hand, and bigger the further away it will be scanned from - roughly a tenth of the scanning distance. Leave the white border alone, since scanners use it to find the code.
Can I change where it points after printing?
Not with this tool - the destination is inside the code. If you need to change it later, point the code at a link you control and redirect from there.
When the chat opens, what answers?
