Wamafy vs Gallabox: An Honest 2026 Comparison
If you are shopping for Gallabox alternatives in India, you have probably already hit the wall most founders hit. Every comparison page is written by someone selling one of the two products, and none of them show you the actual bill.
This one is written by Wamafy. You should read it knowing that. So here is the deal: every Gallabox number below comes from Gallabox's own pricing page, checked on 8 August 2026, and every claim about where Gallabox is better is one we actually mean.
The 60-second verdict
Gallabox is a polished team inbox with real AI built in. It handles WhatsApp, Instagram and a website widget in one place. If you have a support team of six or more people answering chats all day, it is a good product.
Wamafy is built for the owner who wants a predictable bill. It starts at Rs 799 a month, includes your teammates in the plan price, and sells vertical modules that most platforms do not offer at all.
The gap between them is not per-message cost. Neither company marks up Meta. The gap is what you pay for seats, and what you get bundled.
If you are hiring agents, Gallabox is priced for you. If you are trying not to hire agents, Wamafy is.
Pricing side by side, August 2026
Both prices below are on annual billing, which is how each company shows its lowest rate. GST at 18 percent is extra on both.
| Wamafy | Per month | Gallabox | Per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seed, 3 teammates | Rs 799 | Basic, 3 users | Rs 2,399 |
| Bloom, 10 teammates | Rs 1,599 | Essential, 6 users | Rs 5,599 |
| Forest, 20 teammates | Rs 3,199 | Advanced, 10 users | Rs 13,599 |
| Enterprise | Custom | Enterprise | Custom |
Two things in that table matter more than the headline numbers.
First, Gallabox charges for extra seats. Its own page lists Basic at three users with no paid seat top-up, and extra users on Essential at Rs 1,200 each per month. On Advanced it is Rs 1,500 each. Wamafy includes 3, 10 and 20 teammates in the plan price and does not sell seats separately.
Second, Gallabox charges Rs 1,200 a month per extra channel. A Wamafy Bloom plan carries two WhatsApp numbers and Forest carries ten, at no extra charge.
Does either one mark up your messages?
This is the question that decides most bills, and it deserves a straight answer rather than a sales line.
Meta charges per message. In India, marketing templates run about Rs 0.8631 each and utility templates about Rs 0.115. Some platforms buy those messages and resell them to you at a higher rate. That is the markup people worry about.
Gallabox's own billing documentation publishes Meta's rate card and does not add a per-message fee on top of it. We looked, and we are not going to invent one. Credit where it is due.
Wamafy is a Meta Tech Provider, so your business pays Meta directly for messages and Wamafy never sits in the middle of that transaction. The practical effect is the same on the message line. The difference is that you hold the billing relationship.
So ignore anyone who tells you one of these platforms is secretly taxing your messages. Compare the plan fee, the seat fee and the channel fee. That is where the money actually is. Our guide to the real cost of WhatsApp marketing in India breaks down every line item.
Where Gallabox is clearly better
Four areas, and they are not small.
- More than one channel. Even the Basic plan bundles WhatsApp, Instagram and a website chat widget in one inbox. Wamafy is WhatsApp only. If your customers message you on Instagram too, that matters.
- AI that is actually built in. Gallabox ships AI agents, reply rewriting and translation on a credit model, and AI voice on the Advanced plan. Wamafy has no AI copy generation and no voice.
- Integrations. Twenty-plus connectors out of the box, against a much shorter list at Wamafy today.
- Support tooling for real teams. Number masking, custom roles, agent-level controls and an SLA on paid tiers. This is the stuff a 10-agent support desk needs and a solo owner never thinks about.
If two or three of those bullets describe your day, stop reading comparison posts and buy Gallabox.
Where Wamafy is clearly better
Three areas.
The entry price. Rs 799 against Rs 2,399. For a business testing whether WhatsApp works at all, a three times difference in the monthly commitment is the whole decision.
Seats are not a revenue line. Adding your second salesperson does not change your bill. On Gallabox, a six-person team pushes you from Basic to Essential, which is Rs 5,599 a month before a single message is sent.
Vertical modules that are not general-purpose software. This is the real difference and it is worth explaining properly below.
Where Wamafy is honestly behind
Any comparison page that cannot name its own gaps is not a comparison page.
- Brand. Gallabox is older, better known and easier to defend to a boss.
- No AI copy or voice. If you want the platform to write your campaigns, Wamafy does not do that.
- WhatsApp only. No Instagram inbox, no web widget.
- Fewer connectors. Shopify is native and there is a REST API, but the ready-made integration list is shorter.
- A/B testing is on Forest. Gallabox does not gate testing the same way.
A 10,000-message month on both platforms
Here is a real bill. A six-person team sending 10,000 marketing template messages in a month.
Meta's share is the same on both: 10,000 at roughly Rs 0.8631 is Rs 8,631.
| Line | Wamafy Bloom | Gallabox Essential |
|---|---|---|
| Platform, per month | Rs 1,599 | Rs 5,599 |
| Messages, paid to Meta | Rs 8,631 | Rs 8,631 |
| Subtotal | Rs 10,230 | Rs 14,230 |
| GST at 18 percent | Rs 1,841 | Rs 2,561 |
| All in | Rs 12,071 | Rs 16,791 |
The difference is Rs 4,720 a month. Over a year that is Rs 56,640.
Notice where it comes from. Not the messages. The messages are identical. It is the seat model.
At smaller volume the shape is the same. A three-person team sending 2,000 marketing messages pays about Rs 2,980 all in on Wamafy Seed, against about Rs 4,868 on Gallabox Basic. That is Rs 22,656 a year.
The add-on question
This is the part that does not show up on a feature grid.
Wamafy sells vertical modules as add-ons. A clinic gets patient records with automatic UHIDs, prescriptions and invoices as private PDFs, and after-care reminders. A salon or tutor gets in-chat appointment booking with reminders and self-service rescheduling. An insurance agent gets a policy book that chases every renewal. A restaurant gets ordering, payment and delivery tracking in the chat thread.
These are not chatbot templates. They are working software for one trade.
Two rules matter here. Every add-on runs on every plan, including Seed at Rs 799. And the prices are not all the same: most are Rs 499 a month, while Clinics and Restaurant are Rs 999 a month on annual billing.
So a salon on Wamafy pays Rs 799 plus Rs 499, which is Rs 1,298 a month before GST, and gets booking. Gallabox bundles appointment management into Advanced at Rs 13,599 a month.
That is not a fair fight on features, because Advanced carries far more than booking. But if booking is the thing you came for, the difference is real.
Who owns your WhatsApp account
Almost nobody checks this before signing up, and it is the thing that hurts most when you want to leave.
Every WhatsApp Business API number sits inside a WhatsApp Business Account, usually written WABA. That account can belong to you, inside your own Meta Business Manager. Or it can belong to the platform, with your number as one entry in a shared account.
The difference shows up on the day you switch. If the WABA is yours, you are changing which company has access to an account you already own. You control the timing.
If it belongs to the platform, the move is a request rather than a decision. You need their cooperation to release the number, and how fast that happens is up to them. Nobody thinks about this while they are happy with a vendor.
Wamafy is a Meta Tech Provider, so the WABA is created under your business and stays yours. Gallabox also supports customer-owned accounts. The point is not that one does it and one does not. The point is to ask, in writing, before you pay anyone.
Three questions worth sending to any platform's sales team:
- Will the WABA be created under my Meta Business Manager, and can I see it there?
- If I leave, what happens to my approved templates and my quality rating?
- Can I export my contacts and conversation history, and for how long after I cancel?
A straight answer to all three is a good sign. A vague one tells you what you need to know.
Two businesses, worked through
Abstract comparisons are easy to agree with and hard to act on. Here are two real shapes.
A 12-chair salon in Coimbatore
Two people handle the phone. Around 1,500 clients on file. They want appointment booking, reminders the day before, and a monthly offer broadcast. Say 3,000 marketing messages a month.
On Wamafy that is Seed at Rs 799 plus the Appointments add-on at Rs 499, and Rs 2,589 of messages paid to Meta. All in with GST, about Rs 4,587 a month.
On Gallabox, booking sits on the Advanced plan at Rs 13,599 a month. With the same messages and GST that is about Rs 19,102.
Advanced buys a great deal more than booking. But this salon does not need the rest of it, and the gap is over Rs 1.7 lakh a year.
An eight-agent D2C support desk
Customers message on WhatsApp and Instagram. Agents work in shifts and the owner wants to see who is handling what. AI drafting replies would save real hours.
This is Gallabox's business. Essential at Rs 5,599 covers six users, and two more at Rs 1,200 each brings it to Rs 7,999 a month before messages. Instagram is included. AI credits are included.
Wamafy would be cheaper and would not do the job. No Instagram inbox, no AI drafting, and agent-level reporting is thinner. Buy Gallabox.
Who should pick which
| You are... | Pick |
|---|---|
| A support team of 6+ answering chats all day | Gallabox |
| Getting messages on Instagram and your website too | Gallabox |
| Set on AI drafting replies and campaigns | Gallabox |
| An owner or small team who wants a flat bill | Wamafy |
| A clinic, salon, gym, restaurant, agent or tutor | Wamafy |
| Testing WhatsApp for the first time | Wamafy |
Switching: what moves and what does not
Three questions come up every time.
Can I keep my number? Yes. Meta supports migrating a WhatsApp Business number between providers, and it is designed to run without downtime. You will need to verify the number with a six-digit code by SMS or call, so do it at a quiet hour rather than mid-campaign.
Do my templates carry over? More than most people expect. A migrated number keeps its display name, its quality rating, its messaging limits and its Official Business Account status. Approved templates in good standing come across too. What does not come across is anything low quality, rejected or still pending review, so expect to resubmit a handful. Read our template examples guide before you rewrite those.
Do I lose chat history? Yes, and this is true in both directions. Conversation history lives in the platform's database, not in WhatsApp. Export what you need first. Contacts import cleanly by CSV.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Gallabox cheaper than Wamafy at low volume?
No. At every volume the plan fee is higher, and the message cost is the same on both. Gallabox Basic is Rs 2,399 a month on annual billing against Wamafy Seed at Rs 799. The reason to choose Gallabox is what it does, not what it costs.
Does Gallabox add a markup on WhatsApp message rates?
Not according to its own billing documentation, which publishes Meta's rate card without an added per-message fee. Always check this yourself with any platform you shortlist, because it is the single line most likely to surprise you later.
What are the best Gallabox alternatives in India?
The usual shortlist is Wamafy, WATI, AiSensy and Interakt. Pick on two things: whether seats are charged separately, and whether the platform sells anything built for your specific trade. See our Wamafy vs AiSensy and Wamafy vs Interakt breakdowns.
Will I lose my chat history if I switch?
Yes. Chat history sits in the platform you are leaving. Export conversations and contacts before you cancel, because access usually ends the day the subscription does.
Can I run both platforms at once while I test?
Not on the same WhatsApp number. One number connects to one WhatsApp Business Account at a time. You can test a second platform on a second number, which is the safest way to trial a switch.
Does Wamafy have an Instagram inbox?
No. Wamafy is WhatsApp only today. If Instagram DMs are a real part of your volume, that is a genuine reason to choose Gallabox over Wamafy.
Are Wamafy add-ons limited to higher plans?
No. Every add-on works on every plan, including Seed at Rs 799. You do need an active plan before buying one, and add-ons are charged separately from the plan.
Where to start
Run your own numbers before you commit to either. Take your real team size, your real monthly message volume, and price both platforms including GST. The seat count is usually what decides it.
If a flat bill and trade-specific tools are what you are after, start a 14-day free Wamafy trial. Your card is authorized when the trial begins and charged only on day 15, so you can cancel before then at no cost.
